Beijing International Children's Design Week 2023 is jointly organized by China Children's Center, Beijing International Design Week and China Academy of Art. It hopes to guide and popularize the methods of design thinking training, so that children can discover the motivation of creation in real life, integrate aesthetic experience and life experience, and cultivate positive values of caring for society.
The theme of this activity is "Small Design Dreamers", insisting on being child-oriented, focusing on the content of loving families, civilized schools and friendly communities in the construction of child-friendly cities, encouraging children to actively observe, think, create and express, and creatively describe their love and yearning for child-friendly cities and beautiful homes. Guide young children to feel the happiness and warmth of a better life in the new era. Through illustrations and videos, problem-oriented design examples are given to identify problems, define problems, make plans, and test. In the process of participating in the activity, parents and teachers can update their concept of aesthetic education in The Times.

The vision of 2023 Beijing International Children's Design Week is completed by the design service team of STOYARD (Beijing Xicheng Interactive Technology). The overall design inspiration and design elements revolve around the theme of design week "Small design Dreamers". Based on the theme of this design week, children can discover the motivation of creation in real life, and integrate aesthetic experience and life experience. Therefore, in the context of Beijing International Children's Design Week, STOYARD design team extracted the elements of innocence, creativity and brilliance from the many information related to children. The overall visual presentation is colorful, light and free.
We added the digital concept to the traditional plane vision, and three-dimensional rendering of the abbreviated lowercase "bcdw" letters made the font more full and three-dimensional in material and shape, close to balloons and clouds, and the whole presented a feeling of lightness and agility.
These fonts can show different effects by changing the arrangement position, can be independent individuals, can also be gathered into a group, full of uncertainty, scalability is very strong.

Light clouds, clear blue sky, green grass, occasionally floating balloons, gorgeous flowers and so on, these elements can be seen everywhere, can easily remind people of childhood, and this beauty can cross borders and time barriers, linking people with dreams in their hearts.
During the creation process, the designers of the team went to schools and playgrounds, also read many best-selling children's picture books, collected a lot of information about "dreams" from children, and selected the most frequent and representative elements: "Flying", "freedom", "colorful", so the designer finally chose the collision of balloons, intended to present a smart upward childlike world, in response to the theme of "dreamers".
In the printing application part, the design team pays more attention to the portable supplies needed for participating in the activity, such as cards, bracelets, picture albums, umbrellas and storage bags, etc. These materials are cleverly integrated with the design elements, have a high appearance level, and are practical, can be recycled and collected as a souvenir.
Every time you open it, you will revisit a magical journey, watching beautiful colors and clever graphics dance together in the picture, and the excitement hidden in the memory will be awakened again, which is not the meaning of growth and imagination.
